Came across a great article by [Pavel Samsonov](https://www.linkedin.com/in/pavel-samsonov-44ba2833/) on Interpassivity, and our current situation in design as companies continue to adopt and build on agentic LLMs.

> AI did not usher in the phenomenon of interpassivity. It emerged under the flickering glow of the very first blinkenlights. But it has scaled the problem up to an unmanageable level, like it has every other problem in the industry.

> **[The newest term in the AI lexicon is "interpassivity"](https://productpicnic.beehiiv.com/p/the-newest-term-in-the-ai-lexicon-is-interpassivity)**

> The industry is reorienting around software that uses itself. But giving ourselves permission to lean back and relax merely indulges an old and toxic tendency.

Some other great quotes:

> The feature factory approach was always pure self-indulgence: living out the fantasy that we could simply know the right thing to build, knock it out of the park on the first try, and then move on to the next feature — and somehow they would all add up to inevitable success. That we _could_ get there from here, and the only thing stopping us was velocity.

Some great quotes and reference links in there!

What are you doing to remain engaged even at the speed AI is fulfilling requests?

I think the biggest thing is staying connected to whether the work is actually changing direction, not just getting completed faster.. IMO the teams that stand out will be the ones learning the fastest while staying connected to real human response.

That quote you highlighted is powerful @EricZ - grounded in truth!

I do wonder if some of building something successful about building thousands of mini prototypes, seeing which one sticks.
