Glare v0.9.9.4 is Live — Building the Space We Want to Work In

This release isn’t about huge feature drops. It’s about the small, thoughtful changes that make Glare feel like home for the people building it — and hopefully for you too.
Here’s what’s new in v0.9.9.4, and why we cared enough to ship it:
Status Page: So You’re Not Left Hanging
We heard from new folks (and their friends) that joining Glare felt like shouting into the void. Now, when someone applies to join the community, they can track their status directly on the Join the Community page. It’s a small fix — but it’s the kind of friction we want to remove, everywhere.
Avatar Uploads + Wiki Profile Refresh
Our team profile pages were looking… let’s just say early-stage. We’ve given them a polish and added custom avatar uploads. Want your profile to feel more like you? Now it can.
This one came straight from internal requests. We want everyone in the forum to show up as themselves — not a default icon.
Upload Your Own Assets
Glare’s becoming more flexible. With this update, you can now upload images to your profile using the asset manager. Want your team logo in your signature? A custom image for your initiative? You got it.
Updated Satisfaction UX Metric
We’ve been sharpening the edges of our metrics — not just naming them, but making sure they measure what matters. This update includes a revised Satisfaction metric page with new definitions and updated data.
It reflects everything we’ve been learning about how your work is being perceived. And yes, it’s shaping the next version of our metrics framework.
What’s Next
We’re deep in testing for a few bigger features right now, but we’re always shipping things that unblock our community and make the space better. This one’s no exception.
