Hi everyone, for those tracking along, I’ve been setting up a podcast. It’s been a fun journey, and I’m adding pieces as I go along (Glaringly Obvious).
One area that needs a lot of work is the intro (not really existent right now). I put together a prototype of the intro, and would love your feedback on what is working and what is not.
Hey Bryan, I really enjoyed the video overall. There’s a lot of great energy and the diamond visuals work. I’m definitely not a video expert, but I had a few light thoughts in case they’re helpful.
At the very beginning, I wondered if adding a bit more of a distortion / visual effect could help heighten the intrigue and draw people in from the jump.
Also, when the main topic kicks off (system mapping), the music felt a little bit strong to me and competed a bit with your voice. Lowering the volume slightly or exploring another music vibe there might help the message land more clearly.
Again, overall it’s strong and I know it’s trying to do a lot. I can tell a lot of thought and effort went into it, and these are just friendly ideas from my perspective. Looking forward to seeing what’s next!
I think the distortion could probably be to both, not sure. It could be very abrupt and still give a good visual punch. I’ve seen some podcasts, like dive.club show a quick clip from the interview itself as the cold open first (to implicitly introduce the subject) and then go to the intro. That might work here too (not sure), but the sequencing is still pretty good.
How is this coming @Bryan ?! I personally, like the intro! I think it does the job. Perhaps as the production grows we can iterate, but I think your vocal intro does a great job at the moment
