Also, now that I think about it, agency is really becoming the ultimate skill to leverage.

Thanks! To add to that - we will in future, see more freelancers and entrepreneurs rise from the same crowd that has been laid off, and the last thing we want to see is - designers selling themselves short!
Someone who’s excellent at design, may not be as good at negotiating, which becomes a challenge when they’re trying to sell their services in a free market. So, we need designers leveraging the situation to their max capacity and adding value while also charging satisfactorily for their work.
At the end, when money hits your bank account, your motivation is also high!

I love this POV & totally agree. I think at the end of the day, there is something so comforting about knowing that people (with decision making skills) are on the other end of the work. It’s something that’s so valuable (IMO) and I truly don’t see things operating without that “human in the loop” element.
