We’ve been refining how we present Glare as we reflect on how teams are actually using it. We want to get these pieces right before a 1.0, and I’d love your thoughts.
One thing that has become clear over time, as I talk with product and design leaders, is that when decisions slow down, it’s rarely about effort or intent. Most of the problems stem from orientation. Teams lose direction, struggle to see the landscape they’re moving through, or can’t tell what’s visible enough to act on.
That’s led us to frame Glare around three connected parts:
-
Compass
Design signals help teams orient in the moment. They pull together user needs, context, intuition, and UX metrics so decisions have a clear direction. -
Decision Map
Design impact shows up across many decisions, not one big moment. The map reflects the terrain teams move through as they define, measure, focus, and lead product and design initiatives. -
Visibility
What teams can see shapes what they can decide. Visibility highlights how work is organized, how complexity is handled, how proof is built, and how influence travels.
This framing has helped us explain why good work can still meander and why small signals often matter more than big presentations.
Curious what stands out or if you have questions to orient us.
- Where do decisions stall in your organizaiton?
- What do leaders ask for when they do not trust the direction yet?
- What do you wish was more visible when decisions get stuck?
