I think that the post kinda sums up what is changing the expectation of research. A few years ago, many UX researcher job descriptions focused on understanding users.
This one focuses on:
Learning speed
Decision quality
Product strategy
Hypothesis testing
Organizational systems
They want someone who can triangulate signals from mixed methods
