Attitudinal, Behavioral, and Performance Metrics

 Hey everyone!
We’ve been fine-tuning how we measure user experience, and we’re excited to share our latest approach to UX Metrics! By bringing together Attitudinal, Behavioral, and Performance Metrics, we’re getting a clearer picture of how users feel, how they interact, and where we can improve.
Here’s the gist of what we’ve been working on:
:mag: How users feel – Attitudinal Metrics track sentiment, desirability, and brand perception, helping us understand user perception.
:bar_chart: How users behave – Behavioral Metrics measure usability, comprehension, and engagement to see what’s working (and what’s not).
:chart_with_upwards_trend: How UX connects to business goals – Performance Metrics focus on key indicators like bounce rate, retention, and conversion to show user engagement in real-time.
Using these metrics together gives us actionable insights beyond traditional research, helping teams make smarter design decisions.
:bulb: Spotlight on Comprehension
Comprehension is a behavioral metric, meaning it focuses on how users process and act on information—not just their opinions. With Helio’s Comprehension Score, we go beyond a simple yes/no. A comprehension scale paired with follow-up questions helps us see what users truly understand (and what they don’t), surfacing issues in messaging, usability, and conversion before they become bigger problems.
Dive in and explore the Comprehension Metric! If anything feels unclear along the way, let us know—we’re shaping this page together! :rocket: Notion
