Turning Content into Tools

Content has always been thought of as a way to garner attention and to frame your business as a leader in the topic it’s specialized at. It’s also used as a tool to organize your thoughts and catalog what your brain is producing and experience you’ve been living.

We found AI Skills to be pretty useful. I’ve had my doubts about them for the past month or so, but recently we’ve started creating and consuming our own.

It was straightforward to map the content and turn them into skills/prompts:

1) Give Access to Your Content

Either upload the content, reference the site, or use an MCP server where your content is stored.

Since we have a lot of our content in google drive, I simply had to go through the folder where we had most of the desired content in.

2) Create Skills and/or Prompts

For us, Claude does most of the work, creating the skills!

3) Test Them

We started giving out the skills and skills to the team (@EricZ & @MoData ) for them to try it out.

4) Iterate

The most important part is to iterate on them to remove the kinks and find the value.

These skills are super useful for dropping into your favorite LLM and getting an immediate output. We’re still working on bespoke tools for certain needs, but this area of AI-enabled tools and skills seems like a middle ground between concept and product that will grow in the coming years.

Agreed!

I’d be curious to see if other teams are leveraging their own content. It seems that we can all keep learning and growing from each other with all of the experiments that we’re running.
