Research Stacks

We’re excited to introduce our first concept around Research Stacks to our Slack community. We’ve been diving deep into popular research methods and refining them for the modern UX landscape. Here’s a breakdown of what we’ve been working on:

  • Analyzing Traditional Research: We’ve studied established methods like SUS, NPS, and many more to identify both their strengths and weaknesses to understand how we can improve them with UX metrics.
  • Innovating with UX Metrics: Using our Glare Framework, we’ve transformed these methods into Research Stacks – defined groups of UX metrics that provide insights in a way that make them more powerful than their predecessors. We’re moving beyond “old fashioned” research mindsets to deliver more effective user feedback.
  • Developing the Glare Framework: You can explore the list of Research Stacks we’re developing and see the Google Docs where we’re building out new content for our Glare Framework on our Notion program page.

From the Notion page, you can click into our example WAMMI survey and download a CSV of the data to use yourself. It’s as simple as plugging the provided prompt into ChatGPT!
We’d love to hear your thoughts! Have you used any of these Research Stacks before, or are there others you’d like to see us explore?
